Having boys 16 months apart, we decided to have them share a room with matching colors and cribs. I saw a pretty beechwood accent wall on Pinterest that I fell in love with, which I thought would be perfect since we live in Florida. I looked up accent walls and they were pretty expensive at Lowes for the wood planks. I saw stickers but I definitely did not want stick-ons. It was cheaper to go to Lowes and buy all the boards, paint each one and nail them up. He first measured the wall and got all the same size extra long boards. He painted all the boards grey. And not completely painting each one but more like a messy paint job to look worn down. He painted two a baby blue color. Once the grey boards dried he painted a bit of white over them. He cut the boards there different sizes. I love how each is different and it looks worn out and planks from an old beach restaurant. It looks so authentic. He did just the window wall as an accent wall and painted the other walls, a baby blue color, which is the same color has he pointed two of the boards. I did a whale theme. So both cribs had the same matching whale stickers on the wall and whale crib bumper. I found a whale light up wall decor which was so adorable to match. I had the sheets and crib skirt matching the same baby blue wall color. I got their name pendants from etsy. My husband did a great job! I was so happy with the way it turned out.
